So release date is June 4th - and i do believe there is a press release coming at the end of next week from Curb for all the cool exclusives that will be happening for the release…

new video shoot for the record will happen in about 10 days .. that will be extremely fun too…

i wish i could be the one to let you know what cool stuff is happening… but it isn’t my position to do so… dang it

Neil Young there in the middle of the shot… These are a few of the high schoolers we had sing on the Neil Young and Crazy Horse Americana Record. Hard working and talented. Neil is always a treat. Every time i have been blessed to be in the studio with him, i have learned a so much about where the heart beat of music lives….. love him! We were recording at East West Studios and at his ranch in Northern California.

The brilliant Steve jordan playing drums on LeAnn RImes Spitfire project.. due April 9th, 2013 - i first worked with Steve on a Willie Dixon / WIlli Jones Duet i co wrote with Willie Dixon and Willi…Called Long Legged Goddess - We were recording in NYC - Niko was producing and called Steve to come down and play drums.. that was back in 1990. over 23 years ago… glad he is still in my life. He is magical on the Spitfire recordings.

Niko Bolas - Niko is a longtime dear friend of mine… i think he actually cut my first song demos over 30 years ago… wow… well anyway…Niko is a brilliant man and legendary engineer.. and here he is at recording desk while we track one of the songs from Spitfire (LeAnn Rimes) this picture location is - Studio A at Capitol Recording Studios Hollywood. Just a little note for #spitfire fans

There is an old Gary Allen Interview on CMT.com about a duet with LeAnn -

actually they recorded one four years ago… on an unfinished record with a different producer.

four years later we went in and rearranged and re-recorded the same song for the Spitfire record for LeAnn - But Gary Allen is not on it (we love gary and his music) but this is a whole different vibe for the new recording

She recorded the song with Rob Thomas (of Matchbox 20 ) and Legendary Rock guitarist Jeff Beck…unreal chemistry between the three of them and that, with the hot mess of a groove the band is playing — well it is kick ass mega million “rimes” over… LOL

So just wanted all of you to know . where creative things stand…as i seem that interview is popping up because of the new gary allen record being released….
